Questions and experiences in implementing mobile apps using MGMaps Lib SDK

What are the difference between Line and AnimatedLine? AnimatedLine has one float in constructor which Line doesn't. I don't see any difference on map.

PS

When I add line(width 6px) which I get from web service, which has lot of points, on small zoom line on map isn't smooth like on big zoom, because there are more points then pixels... So I suppose that developers must maintain number of points in Line object which depends from zoom level. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/43/48991376.png/

Is it good to use some self made protocol without xml and to compress plain text on server and on mobile client to uncompress. Does anybody do this and which tool do you use? I think there is java.utils.zip for mobile java clients. For lot of informations this is a good choice.
