  • Trapster (www.trapster.com) uses MGMaps Lib SDK for their Blackberry and J2ME mobile mapping client. Trapster is very popular (over 1 million users) speed trap sharing system: users can share locations of mark speed cameras, police traps and other items to be careful about on the roads, so you get warning alert when you are approaching one of these.
  • skobbler (www.skobbler.com) from Germany makes mobile social mapping and local navigation service. They are also winners of the NAVTEQ LBS Challenge EMEA in 2009.
  • uLocate (www.ulocate.com) is the leading LBS provider in US and they are known as providers of the popular WHERE service.
  • IntelliOne (www.intellione.com) in US provides live traffic information using technologies that turn mobile phone signals and GPS locations into live traffic information on all roadways.
  • CloudMade (www.cloudmade.com) is the leading vendor of mapping services (maps, geocoding, routing etc) in top of OpenStreetMap data. They use MGMaps Lib SDK as their Android, BlackBerry and Java ME client solutions for their developer community.
  • Mobile GMaps (www.mgmaps.com) is a free mobile mapping client. It is probably most popular 3rd party free Java mapping client, and it has full package of the features of MGMaps. It has been working for about 2 years, and in 2007 it had over 1 million downloads globally, with tens of thousands of active users. This application gives has active user's forum, which gives valuable end-user feedback to the development.
  • EMT map of Estonia (www.emt.ee) is mobile operator provided downloadable mapping application, which among other mobile mapping functions includes support for mobile positioning with operator's infrastructure (Ericsson MPS, using Cell-ID/CGI and A-GPS). So you can also locate your friends who are using ordinary old phones, using this service. EMT is TeliaSonera's subsidiary and largest mobile operator in Estonia with 0.8 million subscribers.
  • Enough Software (www.j2mepolish.org) is the vendor of the leading Java ME developer platform J2ME Polish (with over 1 million downloads, tens of thousands of users). J2ME Polish includes MGMaps Lib SDK since version 2.1 integrated mapping component.
  • Teeme Ära (www.teeme2008.ee) is a NGO project with an outrageous plan - to clean Estonia from illegally dumped or littered waste! And they did it in a single day (May, 3rd 2008), engaging over 50 000 volunteers all over the country. There were tens of volunteer mappers who made pictures of litter spots in Estonian forests, using N95 phones, and uploaded the images with geotags and specific additional data fields to the on-line database. They used customized Nutimap software for the mobile mapping. Now they are exporting their experiences and tools all over the world
